Admissions
Mr Dave Hooker is the current headteacher at Meden. There are four houses Challenger (yellow), Discovery (Blue), Endevour (Green) and Phoenix (Red). During Mr Ellis's time as Headteacher there was a 5th house: Eastwood (black & white). Mr R Poppleton took over the headship from Mr Ellis until he retired in 1997. Mr P Cook became Head at Meden, who then left at the end of the summer term in 2002 when Mr J Shaw became Headteacher he then left in 2006 and Mrs Kate Reid became Head. Deputie is Mrs Brashaw (Mr Gibson left in 2009). Mrs Kate Reid then retired and Mr Dave Hooker took over in 2011.Academic performance
The school is constantly improving and is one of the best in the area, and there are extensive ICT facilities. The school is above average for the district of Mansfield, but under the national average at GCSEGeneral Certificate of Secondary Education
