Pelagie Doane

Pelagie Doane was an American illustrator during the 1930s to the 1960s for children's books. She illustrated many volumes in the Judy Bolton series, as well as The Magic Makers series written by Margaret Sutton...

, but were later all re-illustrated by Ruth King. The final volume's artwork returned to Doane, although it was done in a style arguably more similar to King's illustrations. Interior artwork was by Doane as well.
