The Messenger was a concept vehicle created by Mercury
in 2003. The vehicle was named after Mercury, the Roman messenger god from whom Mercury gets its name.
It features a 4.6 liter DOHC V8 mated to a 6-speed automatic sequential gearbox. Its rear wheels are 20 inches (50.8 cm) with the rear tires being 305 millimetres (12 in) wide. The front wheels and tires are 19 inches (48.3 cm) and 275 millimetres (10.8 in), respectively.
