The Toadhead turtle, also known as the Gibba turtle (Mesoclemmys gibba Schweigger, 1812) is a small side necked turtle found in a wide area of South America, in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, Paraguay, and parts of Brazil.
