Michael Sean Winters is an American journalist and writer who covers events in the Roman Catholic Church
for the National Catholic Reporter, where his blog "Distinctly Catholic" can be found. With his colleagues Paul Moses and Joshua McElwee, Winters received the first place 2011 award for "Best In-Depth News/Special Reporting" from the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada. He is currently a visiting fellow at Catholic University's Institute for Policy Research and Catholic Studies.
