He made his full All Whites debut as a substitute in a 0-3 loss to Iran
on 12 October 2003 and made a total of seven A-international appearances, his final cap an appearance in a 1-1 draw with Estonia

Although he was included in the New Zealand side for the 2003 Confederations Cup finals tournament in France, Wilson did not make an appearance at the tournament.
