The community is located within Michigamme Township
at the northwestern end of Lake Michigamme
at 46°32′05"N 88°06′36"W. The CDP encompasses an area along most of the northern shore of the lake. The Michigamme ZIP code, 49861, serves a much larger area to the north and west of the lake, including portions of Michigamme Township and Republic Township

There were 138 households out of which 19.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.1% were married couples
living together, 6.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.2% were non-families. 28.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.08 and the average family size was 2.45.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 16.4% under the age of 18, 3.5% from 18 to 24, 20.9% from 25 to 44, 37.3% from 45 to 64, and 22.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 50 years. For every 100 females there were 95.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.7 males.
