Mid-Sussex Football League
Encyclopedia
The Mid-Sussex Football League (currently sponsored by Gray Hooper Holt) is a football competition in England
. It has a total of 13 divisions headed by the Premier Division which sits at step 7 of the National League System
. While Step 7 usually corresponds to level 11 of the English football league system
, it is a feeder to the Sussex County League
Division Three, another Step 7 league, so in practice, the top level of the MSFL is level 12. The bottom division (Division 11) sits at level 23 of the English football league system. This makes Mid-Sussex Football League Division 11 the lowest league from where it is theoretically possible to be promoted all the way to the Premier League.
