professional footballer who plays for OFK Beograd

, as a centre forward.
, Purović played for Red Star Belgrade
from 2005–07, alongside Nikola Žigić
, with the strikers standing at respectively 193 and 202 cm.
He attracted interest from several clubs outside Serbia
and signed for Sporting Clube de Portugal in 2007. However, he only managed two league goals in 15 contests in his first season (21/6 all competitions comprised), and would be loaned to Turkish first division outfit Kayserispor
for 2008–09.
In the 2009–10 season another loan ensued, as Purović joined Hungary
's Videoton FC
. It would be however a short-lived one, as in early 2010, in the same predicament, he moved to Slovenia
with NK Olimpija Ljubljana. He split the following season between another two teams, C.F. Os Belenenses in the Portuguese second division
and Cercle Brugge KSV
in Belgium
, both still on loan from Sporting; he appeared in only 11 league games for the two clubs combined.
On 27 July 2011, Purović ceased his link with the Lisbon
-based club, and signed for OFK Beograd
