 drove Rigobert from Reims, he replaced him with a warrior clerk named Milo. While bishop, Milo discharged a mission against the Vascones. He accumulated much of the riches of his dioceses. He later received Trier as well.

He resisted being replaced by Abel

 for a long time before he was finally deposed. He died, killed by a wild boar, in 753 or 758.
