living together, 12.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.1% were non-families. 33.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.87.

Students up to eighth grade attend either the Milroy School District (grades Pre-K,5-8) or M.I.L.R.O.Y. Area Charter School (Grades K-4), while high schoolers attend either Tracy Public Schools or Marshall Public Schools. They can go to any school in the area as they wish.
