The Ministry of the Interior and Health is a Danish ministry
created on 24 November 1848, after Denmark became a constitutional monarchy
. For most of its existence it was known as the Ministry of the Interior . After the 2007 Folketing elections

Among the ministry's health-related responsibilities are planning, coordination and research streamlining of the Danish National Health Service (sundhedsvæsenet), Danish National Hospital Service (sygehusvæsenet), the Danish National Public Health Social Security (den offentlige sygesikring) as well as the approval of pharmaceuticals and the pharmacy sector. Prevention and health promotion are also part of the Ministry's remit, and both the National Board of Health
