The win was the first time the team ever won either a tournament or regular season title. They defeated Shelbyville (320-170), and Culver Military Academy (205-200). Their losses were to South Bend Washington (340-105) and to the 3-time state champions, Lafayette Harrison (500-215) in the first round of the state playoffs. The Knights Quiz Bowl team finished 10-6, their best record in the history of the quiz bowl program. The 2002-03 team found tremendous difficulty in state failing to win any of their three matches. In the 2008-2009 season as well as the following 2009-2010 season, the Knights finished the regular season with a record of 7-2, their best finish ever in the regular season.
