in Miss Universe
for (Winner) Miss Kazakhstan and in Miss World
for (Winner or 1st runner-up). It was founded in 1997 by Agency San Bell, and the pageant has now become a major annual event in the cultural life of the country. The competition is traditionally held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan.
Since 2009, the winner of Miss Kazakhstan didn't participate in Miss Universe or Miss World.
