After bad results with Saipa, he was appointed as head coach of Paykan in 2004. It was a bad years to for Mayeli Kohan and after bad results with Paykan, he was resigned.

Foolad

He was retired for two years to coaching but was back for coaching Foolad in 2006. Foolad releagated to Azadegan League with coaching of Mayeli Kohan which was end last season in the eight rank. He was sacked two days after end of seasion.
