Mondio Ring

Mondio Ring is a type of dog sport. It is a protection sport that tests the ability of the dog to protect both themselves and their handlers, even through extreme distractions. The sport trials are similar to the work performed by police dogs. Successful competition requires extensive training and discipline.
The competition consists of three sections, always performed in the same order:
Sport, Dutch KNPV, and German Schutzhund
. It is an international protection sport developed in the late 1980s by representatives from every major participating country. The intent behind the formation of the sport was to provide an international competition that combined the best of each country's existing traditions. Titles awarded in Mondio Ring are internationally recognized.
