Mooseheads was opened in September 1990, making it one of the longest-running nightclubs in Civic. The premises contains 4 levels, including one below street level. This basement level has long been a popular venue for University and ADFA students, and contains a pool table. The street level contains a pool table and several televisions, and is open every day except Sunday. During the day, the kitchen serves classic pub food including steaks, fish and chips
and pizza.
The two levels above the street comprise the nightclub, and are only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 9 PM. The first floor holds the dance floor and the DJ Booth. There is a cover charge of $5 to get in to the nightclub on Saturday nights. Mooseheads is very popular with ADFA
and ANU
students.
Currently, on Friday nights, Mooseheads has live bands playing on the street level from the late afternoon, which often attracts a crowd of Canberra's many public servants.
, the blaze continued. The roof of the club collapsed shortly after people left the building. Police and fire crews arrived at the club at 4.14 am, and fire crews were called in from all over Canberra. They were able to contain the fire, but it was too late to save the nightclub.
Mooseheads re-opened two years later, on July 22, 2004.

Mooseheads fire
