Morshed Khan studied engineering at the Tokyo University of Technology and Agriculture, and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering. Following that, he received his post-graduate diploma from Sofia University, Japan. After his return to Bangladesh, he established several industries. He became active in politics first as the chairman to the Committee of Foreign Affairs and then as a special envoy of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh

He is married and has 4 daughters and 1 son. He also has 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters.
