History

In 1997, Mortgagebot was formed as the mortgage subsidiary of M&I Bank, a large Midwestern bank. The bank’s consumer-direct system for taking mortgage applications was originally developed to enable M&I’s mortgage business to take advantage of the growth of the Internet. A business opportunity became evident, and the company created PowerSite®, a cloud-computing solution for originating mortgages on the World Wide Web.

In 2001, Mortgagebot was spun off from M&I Bank in a management-led buyout.

In April, 2011, Davis + Henderson acquired Mortgagebot LLC, America’s Leading Web-Based Mortgage Technology Provider. Davis + Henderson has served the needs of the financial services industry since 1875.

Mortgagebot currently hosts Mortgage websites for nearly 1,000 banks and credit unions nationwide, which originate over $150 billion in mortgage applications annually using the PowerSite product family.
