Since the station is an intermediate terminus for the line, with only a few services continuing further south to Goulburn, the station has a large stabling yard for the Endeavour railcars

Platforms and services
The station is part of the Southern Highlands Line which has an infrequent service, with trains running approximately every 1.5 to 2 hours. Most trains on the line terminate here, with only three trains a day each way on weekdays, and two trains on weekends serving the stations further south of Moss Vale. These trains only come in the early morning and in the evenings. During the daytime on weekdays there is a replacement bus service heading south in the late morning, and heading north in the afternoon. The station is also served by four CountryLink services each way; 2 XPT services to Melbourne, and 2 Xplorer services to Canberra. On Saturdays, the morning Canberra service which divides at Goulburn also proceeds to Griffith, the return journey arriving with the afternoon service from Canberra on Sunday.Transport links
