Bio

While attending college, childhood friends Daniel Clark and Deric Wiliams decided to form a new band that would allow them to experiment with the music of their childhood. They were soon joined by Tobie Munroe and in 2007 Chris Davis completed the band. They have toured across the US playing alongside many notable acts and at multiple festivals. They released their debut album "Our Concrete Neighbors" in 2010. In May 2011 Alternative Press Magazine included Motive for Movement in their AP&R podcast which spotlights the best unsigned acts. In June 2011 Motive for Movement was nominated for Best Indie Rock act by an Urban Tulsa Weekly

 they had begun recording their debut full length. The album features guest vocals from Emily Williams (Deric's Wife), Davey Rumsey (The Del Toros) and Cody Clinton (Cody Clinton & the Bishops). Untitled EPs

Motive for Movement announced in summer 2011 that they were currently writing and recording a pair of EPs to be digitally released. The first in Winter 2011 and the second in Spring 2012. The albums will carry a similar musical and lyrical theme. They will be released together on vinyl in Summer 2012 as "Side one" and "Side two."
