As of the census of 2000, there were 11,753 people, 4,282 households, and 3,378 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,025.4 people per square mile (782.4/km²). There were 4,444 housing units at an average density of 765.9/sq mi (295.8/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 82.15% White, 5.96% African American, 0.23% Native American, 9.10% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.00% from other races
