. The population was 278 at the 2010 census. Murdock was surveyed and platted in 1878, and was incorporated in 1881. The city is part of the Kerhoven-Murdock-Sunburg (KMS) school district. The football team was the 2008 Minnesota Class A state champion and the wrestling team took the same title in 2009.
