On December 8, 2008, Mushkin relocated its headquarters to Inverness, the suburban tech center south of Denver in Englewood, Colorado. Prompting the move to the new facility was the need for more space and a building more suited to accommodate the nature of Mushkin's business which includes light manufacturing, assembly, R&D and component testing. The new facility offers 50% more production space, 30% more room for testing operations and R&D, and a 40% increase in office space. On May 11, 2000, Ramtron International Corporation along with its subsidiary, Enhanced Memory Systems, announced an agreement to acquire by way of a merger Mushkin Inc.

The merger resulted in Mushkin becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Ramtron.
