written in 1956, with music by Shamshi Kaldayakov
and lyrics by Jumeken Najimedenov
. This replaced the anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan
as the state anthem, which was used after independence. The original lyrics were modified by Nursultan Nazarbayev
