Narayangaon is one of the important towns in Junnar Taluka (Pune District), popular for its natural beauty. Water is abundant because of its proximity to major dams, the western ghats, and the Sahyadri mountain range.

Its also nearest from the place of birth of The Shri Shivaji Maharaj, in the Junnar where He was Born The Shivneri Fort. It hardly 12–15 km from the Narayangaon.

Ram Mandir, was established in the time of Peshwas. Under the leadership of Dr Madhukar Dange, a well known Narayangaon physician, the temple was gifted to the Brahman Sangh in 1990's. It was later renovated, and became the pride of Narayangaon. The festival of Ramnavmi is celebrated there every year.
There is also a famous shiva temple by the name of Kapleshwar temple in ottur 15 km from Narayangoan. Then there is a khandoba temple 10 to 12 km away.
