Ramesh Gupta, his son was also a Member of the Legislative Council of Maharashtra.The 1st orange processing factory in this region was founded by him and the stone laying function was carried over by the then Prime Minister Late Shri Rajeev Ji Gandhi but unfortunately the factory never saw an operational phase. Narkhed Amrawati Railway line is a new project whose stone laying function was presided by The then Prime Minister of India Late Shri P.V.Narsimaraoji.
