Nashoba Robotics

  • The Nashoba Robotics Team, which participates in the annual FIRST Robotics Competition, has experienced major gains since the team's inception in 2005. In their first competition, the team experienced significant wins, utilizing a simple brush system to prove both an effective autonomous scorer and a defensive player. In the 2006-2007 season, the team came in 15th place in the Boston Regional Competition. The following year, despite having their most sophisticated design to date, the team did not make it out to the final round at the Boston Regional Competition. The following year, despite earnest efforts from team members the robot experienced severe electronic difficulties, limiting the team's successes at the Boston Regional Competition.
  • In the 09-10 season, the team came back in full force, winning first place in the Boston Regional Tournament. At the International FIRST Robotics Competition in Atlanta, Georgia, the team performed well as a defensive robot.
  • Nashoba Robotics receives crucial support from the local community in many forms, including monetary donations and mentorship. The robotics team also enjoys the sponsorship of Cisco systems
