through hands-on activities in local communities. NCL Inc. holds strong the traditions of the past, which are honor through cultural education and awareness. Annually NCL Inc. members from coast to coast volunteer approximately one million hands-on hours in local communities.
National Charity League, Inc. is a separate organization from National Charity League Los Angeles founder chapter. NCL Inc. has over 150 chapters nation-wide while the founder chapter consists of only the Los Angeles founder chapter.

The NCL Experience inspires and empowers women to succeed as confident, well-rounded and socially aware contributors in their communities. National Charity League is unique because of its multi-generational approach and three-pronged mission - learning to give of oneself and improve the community through philanthropy; learning to lead through hands on experience in peer groups; and development of cultural competence

NCL Inc. currently thrives in local communities through 150 Chapters in 15 states in the US.
NCL Inc. has grown to more than 38,000 members nationwide.
NCL Inc. has doubled in size in the last 10 years, and further expansion is one of our top goals, making this unique mother-daughter experience available in every community from coast to coast.
NCL mother and daughter members volunteered a cumulative total of 937,618 hands-on hours directly with philanthropies in their communities in the 2007-2008 fiscal year. Using the Bureau of Labor's 2007 statistic that each volunteer hour is worth $19.51, NCL, Inc. Chapters provided a value of $18,292,927 to communities nationwide.

Each Chapter sets it owns minimum requirements for good standing. Both Ticktockers and Patronesses are required to commit to a specific number of volunteer hours in the community as well as service hours in support of the Chapter. Participation in a certain percentage of meetings, activities and events is also designated by the Chapter. In general, there is a one-time entrance fee for Chapter membership, annual dues and set fees for required Chapter activities. Each Chapter sets its own dues and fees schedule.
is organized by elected Ticktocker officers and coached by a mother (Patroness) acting as Grade Level Advisor. The activities designated on the Ticktocker six-year plan are organized for Personal Development
(life skills), Leadership Development (professional skills) and Cultural Competency (social skills).
In addition to working closely with her daughter and supporting the local community, all Patronesses hold a Chapter job each year and actively participate as leaders in the operational success of the Chapter. Chapters evaluate the needs of the community and partner with a variety of philanthropies to provide hands on volunteer support of time and skill. Annually, NCL Inc. members from coast to coast volunteer approximately one million hours to other nonprofits in their local communities. In 2008 alone, NCL Inc. members volunteered a cumulative total of 937,618 hours serving local philanthropy partners and national disaster efforts, representing a value of more than $18,000,000 to communities nationwide.
Some Chapters participate in fundraising and offer financial grants to local philanthropy partners and/or scholarships to local students.
