Next to the cave, the museum offers to visitors prehistoric technology workshops and the permanent exhibition Times of Altamira, with objects from that site, as well as those from other paleolithic caves of Cantabria
as El Morín, El Juyo and El Rascaño. The New Altamira Cave or Neocave is also part of this exhibition, an artificial replica of the original caves, built to preserve them for damages arising from a massive influx of visitors.
