Anxiety UK is a UK
national registered charity
formed 30 years ago for those affected by anxiety disorder
s. It is a user-led organisation, run by sufferers and ex-sufferers of anxiety disorders. The NPS is the largest national charity dealing with anxiety in the UK.
Anxiety UK works to relieve and support those living with anxiety disorders by providing information, support and understanding via an extensive range of services and works regularly with external agencies and healthcare professionals to improve the service provision offered to those living with anxiety disorders. It also campaigns to raise awareness of anxiety disorders.

Anxiety UK have recently announced the loss of funding. This has come at the worst possible time as anxiety problems have increased 400% since the credit crisis developed. Research from YouGov

In April Anxiety UK announced two new patrons, Simon Webbe
and Marcus Trescothick
. They are joined by Denise Welch
who has been a patron for a number of years and has herself suffered with mental health problems.
