New Jersey State Auditor

The New Jersey State Auditor is a constitutional officer. He is appointed by the New Jersey State Legislature, and serves a term of five years. Within his power, the officer may investigate the spending and internal management control of any state or state-supported agencies. The office is constitutionally established as the only one that the Legislature may appoint.
