. It was written by Dave Mustaine, Dave Ellefson, Marty Friedman and Nick Menza during the Clash of the Titans Tour
in 1991, and a demo was made for Countdown to Extinction, However, it was not released on either Countdown to Extinction or the followup album, Youthanasia. "New World Order" is to be released on Thirteen
in November 2011. Mustaine didn't use the song on Youthanasia because he "didn't feel it was finished enough to use on the record at the time."

Rather confusingly, this version of the song was released on the 2007 remastered version of Hidden Treasures (which otherwise follows the Japanese version's track listing), though it is incorrectly still listed as a demo. The earlier final version also appeared on 2 compilations: Warchest
(2007) and Anthology: Set the World Afire
