History

  • 1955/01/01: The town of Nihonmatsu merges with the villages of Shiozawa, Dakeshita, Sugita, Ishii and Ohdaira to form the new Town of Nihonmatsu.
  • 1958/10/01: Nihonmatsu is upgraded from Town to City status.
