From 1999–2002, he was the Minister of State of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and from 2002–2004, he was the Deputy Speaker of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. criticized the remarks, stating that Ramdev was a revered figure. The Congress party claimed that it had asked for explanation from Ering on this matter.
Although Ramdev and the media allegedly blamed Ninong Ering for calling him a "bloddy indian dog", no evidence was shown on this report. In an Interview with Ninong Ering, he denied that remark made and asked for video evidence which the media was unable to show due to "mysterious" circumstances.
