Currently Berlin based duo Noblesse Oblige was formed in London in 2004 by German songwriter/producer Sebastian Lee Philipp and French actress, singer and songwriter Valerie Renay.
Having re-located to Berlin in 2007, Noblesse Oblige released their second album In Exile in 2008.
On May 28, 2010, the band released their third studio album Malady.
Sebastian is a music producer with his own Berlin recording studio in which he records and produces artists and occasionally writes film soundtracks. He also makes music as half of Der Räuber und der Prinz.
Releases
The band's debut album Privilege Entails Responsibility (the English translation of the French band name) was released in the U.K. in 2006. A Re-Release of the album containing previously unreleased bonus material and remixes was released in October 2009.Having re-located to Berlin in 2007, Noblesse Oblige released their second album In Exile in 2008.
On May 28, 2010, the band released their third studio album Malady.

In 2009 Noblesse Oblige received the Russian music prize Steppenwolf Music Award for "best foreign band".Other
Besides her work as half of Noblesse Oblige, Valerie is a trained actress and has directed several theatre shows.
