. He was offered a contract to play for the Pittsburgh Pipers in the American Basketball Association

In 1993, the National Association of Basketball Coaches honored Archibald, along with four other former All-American basketball players, (including Elvin Hayes), as their “Silver Anniversary NCAA All-America Basketball Team.” Archibald is the only athlete in Weber State’s history to receive this honor.

Archibald is married to the former Margaret Hafen. They are the parents of seven sons and one daughter.
Archibald is also a leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Among his previous callings (positions) in the church, he had served as a bishop and from 1999 to 2007 as president of the Washington D.C.
