Nom Du Jeu continued this form as a four-year-old. A first-up win (which was later taken off him after a positive swab
) was followed by placings in the Stoney Bridge Stakes and Kelt Capital Stakes. He then travelled to Australia, where he finished second in the Caulfield Cup and eighth in the Melbourne Cup. He was retired after competing in the 2009 Cox Plate, and will stand at Fairdale Stud in 2010.
