The Clinton Township School District
has undertaken a project to consider the possibility of withdrawing from the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District to form an independent K-12 school district. In February 2005, the Clinton Township Board of Education commissioned a study to consider the educational and financial effects of a proposed withdrawal scenario for Clinton Township.
As of the 2008-09 school year, the district's two schools had an enrollment of 3,011 students and 237.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE
basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.7.
