The CDP was created for the 2000 census and includes part of the former village of Pine Valley, which disincorporated between 1990 and 2000.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 29.3% under the age of 18, 9.6% from 18 to 24, 30.3% from 25 to 44, 20.9% from 45 to 64, and 9.8% who were 65 years of age or older.
