Single release and reception

The single was first released as a digital download on November 17, 2009, the same day that the Shiina's Watering KissMint commercial began to air. The commercial features close-ups of Shiina's face, as she sits down and eats a stick of the chewing gum. It ends with a long-shot of her moonwalking backwards to a sofa, and sitting formally into it. The song was later released in a physical format on December 2.

Music video

The music video was shot by director Yuichi Kodama

(director of Osca, Killer Tune and Senkō Shōjo). Kodama also directed the Watering KissMint commercial. It depicts Shiina performing the song in four different rooms (a separate room for each band member). Her performance is mirrored in each room, and the camera cuts between these similar images. For example, when Shiina performs the moonwalk, clips from her performing it in each room are shown in succession. All the band members perform the moonwalk in the video.

The video is nominated for Best Conceptual Video for the 2010 Space Shower Music Video Awards. Vocalist Ringo Shiina's video for (from her solo album "Sanmon Gossip
