An epiphytic clumping orchid, it grows on trees in Melaleuca
swamp forest habitat, rainforest and damp gullies; highly localised. Flowers from January to June. Racemes 30–80 mm with small (1.2 × 1 mm) pinkish flowers with red labellum
in whorls of 6 to 8.
It is considered to be a vulnerable species by the NSW government.
