At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Olga lost in the round of 16 to top seeded Xie Xinfang(who later won the silver medal) 21-16, 21-15. En route to the round of 16, she defeated Singapore's Xin Aiying who is ranked 23 in the world, 21-19, 21-12.
