History
The club was formed in 1921. Begun as a sporting club for members of the Onehunga Methodist Church, it was run for some time as part of the Onehunga Athletics Club before becoming the Onehunga Association Football Club. In 1965 it moved its premises to the Mangere area and changed its name to Onehunga-Mangere United.
