Onze de Setembre is the name of a Barcelona Metro line 9
and line 10
station named after Rambla Onze de Setembre.
The station was opened in June 2010 with the opening of the L9/L10 line between Bon Pastor
and La Sagrera stations. It is located under Rambla Onze de Setembre and Virgili street, in Barcelona
's district of Sant Andreu
. The station was built like many other new L9 metro stations with a 31-metres-depth and 30-metres-diameter well. It is divided in three levels: the upper hall, the upper platform and the lower platform. The upper hall has an only access from the street equipped with fixed stairs, escalators and elevators. The upper hall has also ticket vending machines and a TMB Control Center. The upper platform is where run the trains in direction to La Sagrera and the lower platform is where run the trains in direction to Can Zam
and Gorg
stations. The architectural design of the station was designed by architect Tomàs Morató. There is an artwork into the station made by Àlex Ollé and Alfons Flores that represents the existing mood status.
