History

Orchard Park opened September 28, 1971 on a former orchard. The original mall layout included anchor tenants Sears and The Bay (both of which are still in the mall to this day), and a corridor that connected the two stores.

In 1980, the mall was expanded and an additional 40 outlets were constructed.

Transportation

Orchard Park Shopping Centre is one of the major transit exchanges in Kelowna. Public transit, operated by Kelowna Regional Transit System, have several routes connecting the shopping centre to the neighbourhoods across the city, such as, downtown, Glenmore, Dilworth, Rutland, Pandosy, Okanagan College
