Students from years 5 and 6 are available to apply for the junior Rock Eisteddfod division and students from years 10, 11 and 12 were available to apply for the RAW Rock Eisteddfod division (until 2010, the year in which Rock Eisteddfod was temporarily replaced by 'Vic Moves' [due to monetary problems], where the school placed first overall and accumulated numerous awards). Prior to 2011, only the Year 9 cohort was available to apply for the Rock Eisteddfod premier division, however as of 2011 students from years 9, 10, 11 and 12 were made readily available to audition and came third- their best achievement in premier division.
The current Principal is Mr. Jim (James) Laussen.
Overnewton Anglican Community College was founded in 1987 and, in 2007, Overnewton celebrated its 20th year.
