Padakla Jagdev Parmar was a Rajput and son of Hindu Rajput rishi
(sage), who was worshipping Shri Mahadev at Shinganapur. He traces its ancestory back to the Suryavanshi Parmar clan of Rajput. They later known as Pawars and being native from village Nimbalak, they accquired surname Nimbalkar. Hence, he was founder of Phaltan
Principality and all Nimbalkar (Maratha) surname. He served the Delhi Sultanate
. He was succeeded by his son Naik Nimbraj.
