PaekSang Arts Awards, also known as BaekSang Arts Awards, is an awards ceremony held annually by IS PLUS Corp, since 1965. It is to honour outstanding achievements in the South Korean entertainment industry and to garner public attention upon the best in Korean films and dramas
. It was established by Chang Key-young, who is the founder of The Hankook Ilbo
newspaper, pen name was Baeksang. The ceremony is usually presented in April or May in Seoul
.
The 45th Paeksang Arts Awards in films for 2008 was held on 27 February 2009 at the Olympic Hall in the Olympic Park
with live broadcast by SBS. The 2011 ceremony was on 26 May and was broadcasted on KBS.
