Palay Khan or Palay Shah Khosti belonged to the Khwastaye syed tribe of Zhob. He was a freedom fighter and chief of a freedom fighters' group, which fought against the British Raj

, the main area of his struggle.
Quetta Center produced a drama serial of 13 episodes on Palay Khan, Palay Shah as a tribute to his freedom movement. It was directed and produced by Sajjad Ahmad
. The drama was shot 75% at the original locations in Balochistan. The role of Palay was played by Jamal Shah
, and Palay's brother Katey Khan was portrayed by Hayatullah Khan Durrani
. The rest of the cast included Sakina Samoo, Dr. Huma Meer, Orya Maqbool Jan
